Questions people actually ask
Everything below is answered the way we would answer it in a message, including the parts that are not flattering. If something here is missing, the email at the bottom of the page is a real inbox.
Is this actually legal?
Yes. You are using publicly advertised sign-up promotions the way they are written, at licensed sportsbooks, in states where those books operate. Nothing here is a loophole or an exploit — the books budget for these offers to acquire customers.
What is the catch?
You need cash on hand to place the cover bet, and it is tied up until the game settles — usually a day or two. Sign-up bonuses are also one per person per book, so the big early money runs out and the pace slows once you have worked through the major books in your state.
How much money do I need to start?
About $100 gets you through the first promo, and it comes straight back when it settles. Bigger promos want more on hand, which is what the phased path is for — it orders the board so your capital is never in the wrong place.
Do I need to know anything about sports?
No. You are never picking a side. Both outcomes are covered before the game starts, and the converter chooses the market for you based on which one is cheapest to cover, not which team is better.
How long does one promo take?
About ten to fifteen minutes of actual work, most of it signing up for the book. Once your accounts exist it is closer to three — you are typing two stakes into two apps.
What does it cost?
Your first promo is free — your pick, with no card. After that you unlock promos one at a time and the fee is 20% of what that promo is worth to you, capped at $100. There is no subscription. Full breakdown on the pricing page.
Can I get help with the first one?
Yes — guided setup puts someone on a screenshare with you. We size the stake and place both bets together while you watch. It costs more than doing it yourself and leaves far less room to get a step wrong.
Which states does this work in?
Anywhere licensed sportsbooks take bets, which is most of the country. What changes between states is how much is on the table: how many books operate there, and how many of them are running a sign-up offer right now. There is a page per state showing exactly what is live where you are.
What is a bonus bet actually worth?
Less than its face value, always. A bonus bet does not return the stake — win it and you keep the profit only, so a $200 bonus bet at even odds pays $200 rather than $400. That is why it has to be converted rather than simply placed, and roughly why a well-converted bonus bet is worth somewhere around two thirds to three quarters of its face value depending on the price you can cover at.
What is a no-sweat or sweat-free bet?
A first bet where the book refunds you in bonus bets if it loses. The important half is what happens when it wins: nothing. You keep the winnings and no bonus arrives, because there was nothing to refund. That is why the strategy for a sweat-free offer is the opposite of the one for a straight deposit match.
Will the sportsbook limit or ban my account?
It can happen, and it is the real long-term cost of doing this. Books watch for accounts that only ever appear for promotions, and the usual response is quietly reduced maximum stakes rather than a ban. It is worth knowing before you start rather than after.
Do I have to pay tax on this?
Gambling winnings are generally taxable in the US and books issue tax forms above certain thresholds. Every figure shown anywhere in this product is pre-tax. We are not accountants and this is not tax advice — talk to someone who is.
Can I do this on my phone?
Yes, and most people do, because the sportsbook apps are on your phone and that is where the bets get placed. The board, the converter and the tracker all work on a phone screen.
